Sugarcane Paper
Sugarcane paper, which is food-grade and without fluorescence, is 100% made from bagasse and without any wood pulp addition. It can be divided into unbleached and bleached one by color. However, most of customers prefer the unbleached one. It also can be made into paper cups, paper bowls, paper tableware and etc. Generally, its paper weight is from 210gsm ~ 300gsm.
Its width can be made from 50 ~ 1800mm which is under customer’s request. But its folding endurance is poorer than wood pulp paper, because the bagasse pulp is shorter than wood pulp. It must be added more moisture before production.
Sugarcane Paper Options
PLA coating sugarcane paper with industrial compostable
Recommended coating weight: 28 - 37.5gsm
Recommended coating thickness: 24 - 30μm
Applications:
Food-contact packaging, paper cups, paper dinnerware etc.
Advantages:
Can be biodegradable and compostable as both DIN CERTCO and BPI request, it’s carbon footprint is lower than PE coating.
PLA coating sugarcane paper with home compostable
Recommended coating weight: 8 - 15gsm
Recommended coating thickness: 6 - 12μm
Applications:
Food-contact packaging, paper cups, paper dinnerware etc.
Advantages:
The content of the PLA is less than 5% the function is equal than ordinary coating one, can be biodegradable and compostable as both DIN CERTCO as AS 5810 request. It’s recyclability can meet the request of ISO 14021.
PE coating sugarcane paper
Recommended coating weight: 14 - 18gsm
Recommended coating thickness: 10 - 15μm
Applications:
Food-contact packaging, paper cups, paper dinnerware etc.
Advantages:
The content of PE less than 5%, it’s recyclability can meet the request of ISO 14021.
